Being asked into your birth space is something I don’t take lightly. I feel very honoured and privileged to be the one you want there, and I take the full responsibility and sensitivity that it requires very seriously.
In saying that, I am a very light-hearted, comfortable and easy to get along with person in the room. I find my eyes welling up with emotion as you go through one of the biggest and most amazing challenges right before me. I believe birth is a powerful and self-led space. My presence in your birth will be calming, warm and genuine.
We will meet in person before your birth to get to know each other better and to talk about what you’d like for your birth. I love this time together because it starts a friendship, and it’s so nice knowing that the people rocking up to your birth space are friends.
I take a fly-on-the-wall approach most of the time. You won’t even know I’m there for most of it. And when the hard work is over and your baby is in your arms, you can rest knowing that you’ve achieved something incredible, with a wonderful support team around you.

The blur of birth is so real. I have so many of my lovely clients message me after the birth sharing that they just can’t remember so much for what happened. But then the photos come, and with the photos come the memories of your incredible experience. Birth photos reconnect your conscious and subconscious memories from that very special day.

Decide which of the two birth packages makes you most excited. Once I have your estimated due date, we will organise you on call period from 38 weeks.
Pay your deposit & answer questionnaire
Once the dates are confirmed, you’ll receive your booking link. Here you’ll answer a few questions, sign a contract and pay your $500 deposit. Your shoot is now secured in my calendar and we will make a time to meet in person.

Birth-Day
You will have full contact with me 24/7 so I’ll come to you night or day. When you are reaching active labour, I will make my way to your birthing place to document your story.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The best time to book in for birth photography is before you are 25 weeks pregnant. Get in as early as you can as I leave my schedule fairly open while I'm on call for your birth. In saying this, if you’ve passed 25 weeks and you’ve just found my work, it’s always worth reaching out to ask if I’m available!
It’s super important to keep in close contact as soon as your pre-labour signs begin and when labour has started. Your communication will be the key to me arriving at your birth on time, and it will help me understand what’s going on so I can make the call to come. Generally I come to you when you’ve just hit active labour, however if you have a history of short births, or your labour is progressing quickly, I will come to you as soon as your contractions become consistent.
Yes please. Let your midwives know that I’ll be there. It’s always nice knowing what to expect when arriving to your birth.
Once you have your gorgeous little bundle in your arms, I will normally stay until baby is weighed and had some time breastfeeding. This is usually between about 1-2 hours. I like to do my bit and then let you all relax and enjoy those first hours together as a family.
I mainly shoot home births these days but have over 3 years experience photographing hospital births too. Please reach out if you’re interested and are having a hospital birth. I definitely don’t turn them down.
100% yes of course! I love being able to offer this to you guys. We can chat to arrange a payment plan that will suit your family best. I always say that it’s always the most important that you can get the photos done, so we will do whatever we need to, to make it happen for you!
If I miss your birth because your labour was so fast that I couldn't arrive in time, we will arrange for you to have other sessions for the monies paid for your birth shoot.
