Natural Family Photoshoot on a Farm | Gippsland Photographer

MENU

There’s something about life on the land: the rhythm, the quiet, the space to breathe. This session was all of that and more. A slow afternoon spent with a growing family, surrounded by animals, warm light, and the kind of beauty that doesn’t need arranging.

She’s a mother to two, with a third on the way, and you could feel that deep, knowing love in every moment. The way her eldest wrapped his arms around her belly without being asked. The way their dog waited patiently nearby. The way the paddocks seemed to stretch endlessly behind their laughter.

We moved between indoors and out, catching light in all its forms. Warm afternoon sun in the kitchen. Soft shadows under the verandah. Dusty golden light wrapping around them in the paddock as the horse wandered just close enough. Every frame felt like a quiet celebration of the season they’re in.

This is what farm family photography is to me. It’s not about props or poses, but presence. Connection. Being fully in the moment, whatever that looks like.

These are the photos they’ll look back on in five, ten, twenty years. The ones that will remind them of this time before the next baby arrived, when their days were full of dirt, animals, bare feet, and love.

If you’re based in Gippsland, Phillip Island, or the surrounding areas and want to document your life in a way that feels like you, I’d love to talk.
